3D Printed Trial Exhibits and Physical Models

Arlington, Virginia · Minutes from the DC Courts · Nationwide

Pro-Legal Services, Inc. produces 3D printed trial exhibits and physical models for law firms, printed from the CAD and print files your expert, engineer, or animation vendor supplies. We do not build the model for you, which keeps your expert’s work and their testimony about it intact. Send us the file and we will tell you what prints as supplied and what needs adjusting before it reaches the bed.

Applications

Accident reconstruction model exhibits for personal injury and transportation matters. Product liability exemplar models and failed-component reproductions. Patent and device comparison models. Anatomical model trial exhibits for medical malpractice. Structural and site models for construction and premises cases. Scaled terrain and property models. Component assemblies that come apart in the hand. We check wall thickness, tolerances, and whether the geometry is watertight before quoting, because a model exported for animation or simulation frequently will not print without repair — and trial week is a bad time to find that out.

Why a Printed Object Beats a Board

A physical model goes back to the jury room, where exhibits are handled rather than viewed from fifteen feet, and a witness can demonstrate with it from the stand rather than pointing at a screen. Jurors retain what they have held. That is the whole argument, and it is why firms print exhibits for the cases that matter most rather than for every case.

Production

We advise on scale, material, and finish so the result reads clearly from the jury box as well as in the hand. We produce duplicates where opposing counsel or the court requires a copy, and we deliver on trial timelines, including overnight when a model has to be reprinted after a late change. Our facility is in Arlington, Virginia, minutes from the District.

What We Need From You

A printable CAD or print file and the dimensions you want. If your expert has produced a model for animation or simulation, that file is usually what we print from. Send it and we will tell you what is printable as supplied and what needs adjusting before it goes on the bed.

Pro-Legal also produces the rest of the trial set: tabbed and bookmarked exhibit binders, witness and deposition binders, large-format demonstrative boards, blowbacks, and courtroom presentation support, alongside full-lifecycle eDiscovery and certified legal translation for the underlying matter.

We produce exhibits for trials throughout Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia, including Alexandria, Fairfax, Tysons, Northern Virginia, Richmond, Bethesda, Rockville, Silver Spring, Baltimore, and Annapolis, and ship printed models and exhibit sets nationwide, including to New York, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston, Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Atlanta, Miami, Wilmington, and Newark.
