Where a small vendor is genuinely better, and where it is not
Better: anything requiring a decision in an afternoon rather than a week, anything where the account team and the people doing the work are the same people, and anything priced tightly — we carry no national sales organization, no reseller margin on the platform, and the review platform is ours rather than licensed, which is the structural reason our review runs twenty to thirty percent under conventional cost.
Not better: a requirement that needs a GSA Schedule, which we do not hold. A requirement that needs a FedRAMP-authorized hosting environment, which we do not claim. Scale beyond what a single facility and a managed vendor network can absorb.
We say the second list out loud because a small business specialist who gets a straight answer about limits once will come back. One who is told everything is possible will not.
